BMX Bandits
Brian Trenchard-Smith, 1983

It was arduous to understand what the fuck they were saying, there weren’t any subtitles available and the Aussie accent can be tricky (thank you Trip); but the film has a plot (mesdames et messieurs, my most hated word) and dialogue so ludicrous that none of it matters.
Trenchard-Smith’s urban canvas and vibrant colors, its cheesy yet obligatory synth score, the fat kid, and especially the stunningly frenetic bike chase scene are BMX Banditssubstance.
I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself. Pure fun.

  1. Yeeeee! So good. Nothing they say matters, man.
I love when the crim guy brandishing a knife backs into the car via the window, trying to remain sinister.
